We strive to ensure that every component of our buildings is to our desired high quality. This covers the small finishing nails through to the main cladding timber.

We have developed a strong relationship with selected timber mills throughout Europe. These mills have a great understanding of the quality we demand. The timber we use is all FSC certified, ensuring it comes from sustainable sources.

We have strict grading procedures throughout the manufacture process, ensuring only the first grade timber is used in your building.

Our main cladding boards are as follows:

Timber Profile Shiplap16mm Tanalised T&G Shiplap
Timber Profile 25mm Loglap22mm Tanalised T&G Loglap
Timber Profile 32mm T&G32mm Tanalised T&G
Timber Profile 38mm LoglapTanalised 38mm T&G Loglap
Timber Profile T&GTanalised T&G
Timber Profile Thick T&GThick T&G Floor Board

As you can see, this gives a wide range of options!

All timber is fully tanalised and air dried- See our FAQ section for further information on tanalsied timber. Our extensive and meticulous drying process ensures only timber with a set moisture content is put into internal storage. Tanalised timber initially holds excessive moisture, if this is not removed you will see excessive shrinkage as soon as it dries.

Roofing materials

All buildings come with a high grade roofing felt as standard - a much better specification than you would find with most buildings out there.

A number of customers opt for additional upgrades, these improve the life span of the roof, as well as in some cases give a much more aesthetically pleasing finish.

Onduline roofing -

This is an extremely durable, lightweight corrugated material. More suited to workshops and larger buildings, it gives many years of protection. Rather than simply use roof trusses, we use a T&G boarded roof (like that for a felted roof). This reduces condensation as well as offering greater strength. see Onduline for more details

Isola Felt Shingles

An attractive and extremely long lasting product, these felt shingles last 35yrs plus. Made to a much higher specification than a number of other felt shingles on the market, the construction, overlap and amount of bitumen within them means they are a perfect long term solution. See the Isola for more information.

Cedar Shingles

Used for 100's of years, Cedar Shingles have proven to be an extremely durable and attractive roofing solution.Various grades are available, however, we use No.1 Blue Label grade - ensuring the very best quality.

Cedar Shingles

The minimum glazing we use is a 3mm horticultural glass - this is far superior to a 1/2mm perspex found in many buildings.

All summerhouses come with a 4mm toughened safety glass, giving added strength, security and peace of mind. 4mm toughened safety glazing is optional on all other buildings.

All offices come with upgraded double glazed units, helping to reduce heat loss. Double glazed units are available as an optional upgrade on other buildings.
